2018 Artisan Home Tour Unveils Seven High-End, Custom Homes

The Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City is proud to announce the Artisan Home Tour kicking off June 7-17, 2018, presented by U.S. Bank and its Private Wealth Management Group. This tour will feature seven artisan homes by six of Kansas City’s finest custom home builders showcasing the impeccable qualities of their one-of-a-kind homes.

“This tour is different from the Parade of Homes in that it allows visitors to see high-end, unique products and features that they wouldn’t see otherwise,” said Josh Clark, executive vice president of the HBA. “It offers the custom home builders the opportunity to showcase their elevated standards of design, superior craftsmanship, and exquisite products.”

Artisan Custom Home Builders and Artisan Home locations are as follows:

Open Thursday through Sunday from noon until 7 p.m., the Artisan Home Tour is a ticketed event benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities Kansas City. “The builders felt it was important to make this tour a fundraiser,” said Bruce Rieke, president of B.L Rieke Custom Homes and Artisan Home Tour Chairperson. “We chose Ronald McDonald House because we have a long-standing relationship with RMHC and feel it’s a natural fit to help families and children who need a place to stay, because that’s what we do…we build homes.”

The HBA helped renovate and open the first Ronald McDonald house in 1981. HBA members then built the second house on Cherry Street, which is celebrating its 30th birthday in 2018. “This year we will serve over 7,000 families throughout all of our programs,” said Tami Greenberg, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charites of Kansas City. “There is nothing that matters more than when your child is sick and when your child is sick you want to be with them and that’s what we’re doing; we’re keeping families close during the most vulnerable and scary moments of their entire lives.”

The Artisan Tour homes will be scattered throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area and tickets to tour all seven homes are available online for $30 or at the door for $35 with individual homes available for tour for $10 each.
