Artisan Home Tour Postponed Until August

As the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA) continues to do its part to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, it has decided that it is in everyone’s best interests to postpone the 2020 Artisan Home Tour until later this year.

Similar to the Spring Parade, KCHBA wants to ensure that the superior craftsmanship and quality that Kansas Citians have come to expect from the Artisan Home Tour can be enjoyed by all who want to visit homes on the tour, while also being cognizant of the need to keep people healthy and safe. With that in mind, the Artisan Home Tour will not be taking place during its previously scheduled dates of June 5-7, 12-14, and 19-21. Instead, we are rescheduling the Artisan Home Tour for August.

It is important to note that the Artisan Tour has not been cancelled but postponed. As soon as the official dates have been determined, we will notify our fellow members. As of today, we do not plan to begin the Artisan Home Tour until at least August 14.

After much discussion, the Artisan Tour Committee, with input from the Parade Committee and members of the Executive Committee, believes August would provide appropriate separation between the Spring Parade and the Fall Parade, while also fitting nicely within the schedule for our charitable partner, JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), as well as our generous sponsors.
